Austin's First Buck

I'm going for a 8 pointer next year

Opening day of Deer Season for Youth in Kentucky.
Austin bagged a 5 point Buck with his 243 so we loaded him up and took the deer to Yoder's for processing. Hope to get some really good summer sausage out of this one. A really good way to end 2011 and can't wait to report on some good journeys in 2012.

Five Pointer with one tip broke off, probably fighting bigger deer
Austin dropped him with one shot, the kid can shoot

Back in Kentucky for the Holidays. Wonderful Christmas with family and such a blessing to spend another Christmas with my mother who is 86 years old. Everyone at our house for Dinner was something we haven't done in years. Everything went great, Christine's meal was superb. Thanks to everyone who contributed. Just a few pictures to post, clean house, and pack up for the trip back to Florida. It's supposed to drop to 15 degrees tomorrow night so we gotta get out of Dodge.

NOVEMBER 2011----Trips with Jim and Susan

Spent a few days aboard "Happy Ours" with our good friends Jim and Susan. Did some fishing and beach walking at Cayo Costa State Park. Then it was off to Disney World in the motor coaches to experience Disney without kids. Had a great time but took very few pictures. Will do better next time......

Spending a little time on the dingy makes one appreciate a real boat.

Welcome to Fort Wilderness at Disney World

It's hard to soar with Eagles when you camp with Turkeys.

Tell Jim it's time to go eat. Let's go over to Epcot and have dinner...

OK Goofy, which one of these do I get for Bell?

JUNE 2011----Austin's Fishing Trip

Austin joined us for a week aboard "Happy Ours' and did some serious fishing at Cayo Costa State Park and in Pine Island Sound. He even made the Pine Island newspaper with his Lemon Shark catch. Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we did taking them.....

First major outing in "Happy Ours".

First outing in "Happy Ours"

Cruising with friends and friendly sea buddies on the way to Ft Myers Beach for lunch at Salty Sam's.

First outing with John at the Helm

Trip to Houston to check out a SeaRay 420 Motoryacht

Arriving in Clearwater after an uneventful Gulf crossing.

Crossing the Gulf of Mexico in our "New to Us" SeaRay Motoryacht, a full day of open water.

Anchored in Apalachicola Bay waiting for sunrise to start the Gulf crossing

Making our way up the ICW (a.k.a. the Ditch) from Panama City to Apalachicola, Fl.

Very first view of the boat we found in Clear Lake, Texas. Soon to be ours if she checks out good.

A view of the slip our Sea Ray was in on Clear Lake. Silver Linings is the sellers new yacht.
