Island Girls Birthday May 4th

May 4, 2018

Happy Birthday Christine...
you get another birthday in the Islands.....

Michele cooked up a birthday dinner for the Admiral on "Just Us"..

Must be more to this story than I know...

She really got a laugh out of her gift......seems Michele had a difficult time buying it with Christine looking over her shoulder asking a dozen questions.

It must have been bought on Green Turtle Cay several weeks ago.

She was pleasantly surprised..

Birthday is over......time to get back to some serious Dinghy adventures..

Four dinghies heading out of Great Harbour Cay with no idea how rough it will be on the outside.....

Well it was a little rough but we managed to find our favorite beach and show it to the newbees.

Everyone got a bit wet from the swells but hey, that's part of the fun.

Once in the cove the water was very calm....we saw a lot of stingrays while here.

We chased a few Stingrays while we were here.....the water was full of these graceful beauties.....Never got close enough to get a real good shot, they are very cautious.....

First time we had been out with Kelly and Norma...they too, are waiting for a weather window to cross over to 'Florida.

They are on a sailboat named "Tilaria ll"....

Good folks from Ft. Lauderdale,
had to get several pictures of them because Kelly forgot his phone....

Everyone seemed to enjoy the sugar sand beaches...

We even found the Blue Hole and the Airplane wreck, altough it was under water..

The airplane was a drug running plane used back in the 80's....It was fully submerged today because we went at high tide...at low tide about 2-3 feet of the plane is out of the water....

A neat picture of Christine behind a Pine Tree on the beach.

Today we made it to another new beach we found during our last trip but the tide was out and we couldn't get in..

Today the tide was in....we made it.

Another day, another social event...
The marina's "Grill and Chill" is  usually every Friday evening but it was cancelled yesterday due to the storms that came through.

So it's a Saturday "Grill and Chill".

The local chefs were bar-b-que ing some Ribs, Chicken, Steaks, and Pork.

The chicken was without a doubt the best....I know because I ate some of everybody's...

Several boaters showed up for this event...everyone is patiently waiting for the weather to clear up.

Left to right....My Admiral Christine, "Just Us" Admiral Michele (with one L), Captain Dave of "Just Us", Captain Rick and his Admiral "Michelle (with  two L's ) and the hat with the Jack Daniels is mine....

Another good outing with good friends...thank you Great Harbour Cay for you hospitality.
